KINKO Pneumatic Butterfly Valves

KINKO pneumatic butterfly valves deliver high flow capacity in a compact, lightweight package. Designed with wafer and lug configurations, these valves provide reliable on/off and throttling control for water, air, gas, and light slurry applications across municipal and industrial facilities.

Behind Every Solution:

  • Low pressure drop, high Cv values
  • Two-way sealing with zero leakage performance
  • Reduced installation space and piping support requirements
  • NBR, EPDM, PTFE, FPM for media compatibility
Design Principles

Why are KINKO Pneumatic Butterfly Valves so durable?

  • The disc rotates 90° to modulate or shut off flow, providing fast response
  • Offset disc design reduces seat wear and extends cycle life
  • ISO 5211 mounting pad simplifies actuator installation
  • The thin-disc design saves installation space between flanges.
  • The lug-type design supports dead-end operation and isolates the downstream piping.
  • The pinless disc design eliminates leakage paths and improves reliability.

FAQ

What is the difference between concentric and double-offset butterfly valves?
Concentric (zero-offset) butterfly valves have the stem centered in the disc, suitable for low-pressure and general service. Double-offset butterfly valves have two offsets, reducing seat wear and extending service life, ideal for higher pressures and temperatures. Triple-offset designs are available for severe service with metal seats.
What is the difference between wafer and lug-style butterfly valves?
Wafer-style valves are installed between flanges with through-bolts, requiring full piping support. Lug-style valves have threaded inserts on both sides, allowing dead-end service and removal of downstream piping without affecting valve position. Lug-style is preferred for isolation applications.
What sealing materials are available for pneumatic butterfly valves?
KINKO offers NBR (oil and general service), EPDM (water and mild chemicals), PTFE (corrosive media), and FPM/Viton (high-temperature and hydrocarbons). Material selection depends on media type, temperature, and pressure requirements.
Can pneumatic butterfly valves be used for modulating control?
Yes. Pneumatic butterfly valves with positioners provide accurate modulating control (±1% accuracy). The disc rotation provides approximately linear flow characteristic, suitable for flow and pressure regulation in water treatment, HVAC, and industrial processes.
What is the maximum temperature and pressure rating?
KINKO pneumatic butterfly valves handle temperatures from -20°C to +180°C (PTFE seat). For metal-seated designs, temperatures up to 400°C are available. Pressure ratings range from PN10 to PN40 (Class 150 to Class 300) depending on size and configuration.
