Design Principles

Why are KINKO Pneumatic Globe Valve so durable?

KINKO pneumatic globe valves are forced-sealing valves that require pressure on the disc to ensure sealing surface integrity when closed. When media enters from beneath the disc, operating torque is low and sealing performance is reliable. The valve uses a pneumatic actuator to drive the disc in linear motion for opening and closing operations. The streamlined flow path ensures low pressure drop and high flow capacity.

FAQ

What is the difference between pneumatic globe valves and pneumatic gate valves? How do I choose?
Pneumatic globe valves feature forced-sealing construction with the disc moving linearly along the seat centerline, offering excellent regulating and shut-off performance – ideal for applications requiring precise flow control. Pneumatic gate valves have gates moving perpendicular to the flow direction with low flow resistance, suitable for fast on/off operation in large-diameter pipelines. Choose globe valves for precise flow regulation; choose gate valves for large-diameter fast shut-off
What is the leakage class of KINKO pneumatic globe valves?
KINKO pneumatic globe valves with metal seats achieve Class IV leakage standards, while PTFE soft-seat versions achieve Class VI (zero leakage) standards. The specific leakage class depends on sealing surface material and operating conditions; we can provide corresponding sealing configurations based on user requirements
Can pneumatic globe valves be used in high-temperature steam applications?
Yes. KINKO pneumatic globe valves can be equipped with heat-dissipating bonnets suitable for steam applications up to 425℃. Body materials include WCB carbon steel or stainless steel, with Stellite overlay on seat sealing surfaces to ensure sealing reliability and service life at high temperatures
How is the valve action mode (air-open/air-close) determined?
Air-open (FC) means the valve closes upon air supply failure, suitable for fail-safe applications. Air-close (FO) means the valve opens upon air supply failure, suitable for applications requiring fail-open. Selection depends on process safety requirements – choose air-open if media must be isolated upon air failure; choose air-close if media must be relieved upon air failure
What accessories can be equipped with pneumatic globe valves?
KINKO pneumatic globe valves can be equipped with various accessories to meet different control requirements, including: solenoid valves (for remote control), positioners (for precise regulation), limit switches (for position feedback), F.R.L. units (for air filtration), and manual gears (for emergency operation)
