FAQ

What is the difference between On/Off and modulating electric ball valves?
On/Off electric ball valves operate fully open or fully closed, controlled by limit switches. Modulating electric ball valves can be positioned at any point between 0° and 90° using a 4-20mA or 0-10V signal, enabling precise flow regulation. Modulating models include an integrated positioner for accurate positioning.
What power supply options are available?
KINKO electric ball valves support DC24V, AC110V, AC220V, and AC380V power supplies. AC220V is the most common for industrial applications; DC24V is preferred for safety and battery-backed systems. Custom voltages are available upon request.
Do electric ball valves provide position feedback?
: Yes. Electric ball valves include mechanical limit switches for open/closed position indication. For modulating control, 4-20mA continuous feedback is provided. Optional potentiometer or HART communication is available for advanced diagnostics.
Are electric ball valves suitable for outdoor or washdown applications?
Yes. With IP67 or IP68 protection, KINKO electric ball valves are suitable for outdoor installations and washdown environments. IP68 tested for 48-hour submersion at 3 meters depth. For outdoor use, consider UV-resistant coatings and weatherproof cable glands.
What is the typical operating temperature range for electric ball valves?
Standard electric ball valves operate from -20°C to +60°C ambient temperature. For high-temperature media, valve body and seal materials can be selected for up to 180°C (PTFE) or higher. For low-temperature applications down to -40°C, special low-temp versions are available.
